PartitionsPartitions are versatile conversion measures which are easy to realise. In general, you should use boards at least 10 mm thick. However, for sound insulation and fire protection reasons and greater stability, a double layer of panelling and mineral wool cavity insulation, e.g. Isover, is recommended.

3.0 m long room-height boards offer additional advantages: The finished walls only have vertical joints. That means:

  • Less filling
  • Better acoustics

To allow daylight into the newly created room, a window strip or window can be built into the structure.

Hiding electrical connections, etc.
The wall cavity serves as an installation level for electrical wiring, loudspeaker cables, heating pipes, etc.
